Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is seeking a remote Model Risk Advisor to promote AI governance, manage model risk across the enterprise, and support governance activities. You will maintain model inventories, assess risks, and help implement controls in collaboration with risk, audit, and enterprise teams.

The role emphasizes governance documentation, regulatory awareness, and the ability to drive improvements across a remote-first organization while supporting validation and reporting initiatives.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in model risk management or related practices including risk and audit.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management, data science or related field.
• Experience in AI model governance, model risk management or audit; degree substitution acceptable.
• Knowledge of compliance monitoring, auditing principles, privacy, security and AI governance standards.

Responsibilities

• Promote awareness and adoption of AI governance policies, standards and responsible AI practices.
• Maintain inventory of AI/ML/GenAI models including ownership, risk ratings and metadata.
• Assess model risk based on complexity, regulatory requirements, business impact and usage.
• Implement and maintain Model Risk Management frameworks, processes and controls in partnership with teams.
• Monitor model performance, governance controls, KRIs, and policy compliance.
• Support model validation and testing activities by defining scope and documenting findings.
• Participate in AI Model Governance oversight activities including audits and risk assessments.
• Develop reporting and executive insights on AI governance, model risk and control effectiveness.
• Collaborate with internal teams, Enterprise Risk, auditors and suppliers to maintain governance documentation.
• Monitor evolving regulatory expectations related to AI and model risk; incorporate into governance.
