Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group seeks a Model Risk Advisor to promote governance of AI models and policies across our organization. The role focuses on maintaining model inventories, risk ratings, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with risk, audit, and data teams.

You will drive governance maturity, monitor KRIs, and support validation efforts in a remote, nationwide setting with strong emphasis on responsible AI practices and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in model risk management, risk, and audit.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management, data science or related field.
• Experience in AI Model governance, Model Risk Management, or Audit.
• Knowledge of compliance monitoring and/or auditing principles.
• Knowledge of privacy, security, and AI governance standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to translate technical topics.
• Ability to lead and influence change within complex organizations.

Responsibilities

• Promote AI governance policies, standards, and responsible AI practices enterprise-wide.
• Maintain inventory of AI/GenAI models with ownership, risk ratings, metadata.
• Assess model risk per complexity, regulatory needs, and business impact.
• Support Model Risk Management frameworks, controls, and procedures.
• Monitor governance controls, KRIs, and policy compliance; flag issues.
• Support model validation and testing; document findings and recommendations.
• Participate in AI governance oversight activities including audits and reviews.
• Develop reporting and insights for AI governance and model risk at exec level.
• Collaborate with risk, auditors, and suppliers to maintain governance docs.
• Monitor evolving regulatory expectations related to AI and model risk.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline governance processes.
