Job summary

Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to support on-site and mobile fleet maintenance across the United States, performing DOT inspections, PMs, diagnostics and advanced repairs in field settings.

You will operate a company service truck, document work via TRAIT on an iOS device, manage parts, and coordinate with management to ensure quality, safety, and timely service for customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field.
• 3+ years experience with refrigerated equipment.
• OEM training and certifications are preferred.
• A current DOT medical card is required or must be obtained.
• ASE T6, ASE A8 and ASE L1 certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic and engine systems on trucks.
• Maintain and operate company service truck; conduct safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Document work and parts used in Repair Orders via TRAIT on an iOS device.
• Coordinate with management for repair approvals and parts procurement.
