Job summary

Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a mobile basis. You’ll operate in a field environment, manage parts from company trucks, and drive home the assigned service vehicle where approved.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field; or 5 years’ related experience.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• Obtain ASE certification and DOT regulatory qualifications within required timelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT Inspections, and follow-up repairs in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles on-site and in the field.
• Inspect, test, and road-test vehicles to ensure proper operation and safety.
