Job summary

Cox Fleet, a Cox Automotive company, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and various repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will work with light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles, diagnoses across electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems, and manage RO documentation using TRAIT on an iOS device.

The role requires a HS diploma/GED with 3+ years of related experience, DOT compliance, and ASE certifications with potential 18-month certification timelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus 3 years related field experience, or a suitable alternative combination.
• Ability to obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations compliance and DOT medical card requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium, and heavy trucks in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Inspect, test, and document RO findings using iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Maintain and operate company service truck and pre/post-trip inspections.
• Coordinate with management for repair approvals and purchase orders.
