Job summary

Thanx is a loyalty and guest engagement platform serving regional and national restaurants. The Merchant Operations team configures loyalty programs, apps, and online ordering, then monitors health, investigates issues, and drives fixes post-launch.

This role emphasizes building automation, handling integrations, and clear communication with merchants and internal partners. You’ll work with Support, Customer Success, Implementation, Product, and Engineering to own a real piece of the work from

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing problems across multiple systems in technical support, operations, or implementation roles.
• Proven ability to identify root causes and back up findings with data.
• Comfort with data; SQL is a strong plus and will be taught if needed.
• Experience using AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT to speed up analysis or workflows.
• Clear written communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Configure merchant setups for loyalty, apps, and online ordering with high accuracy and speed.
• Connect merchant integrations to POS, ordering, and delivery partners; manage credentials.
• Investigate and resolve issues, escalate with clear evidence or bug reports.
• Monitor location health and catch integrations or transactions issues early.
• Manage card network enrollment with Visa, Mastercard, and Amex; troubleshoot transactions.
• Build and improve automations to reduce manual repetitive work.
• Communicate updates to merchants and teammates so action is clear.
