Thanx is a loyalty and guest engagement platform powering restaurants across North America. We’re seeking a technical-minded Merchant Operations Specialist who digs into root causes when a reward, location, or transaction misbehaves.

You’ll work with Support, CS, Implementation, Product, and Engineering to diagnose, fix, and monitor integrations, using AI-assisted workflows. You’ll own end-to-end configuration, monitor health, and build automation to prevent repeat issues, while communicating

Qualifications

• Experience in a technical support, operations, or implementation role across multiple systems.
• Track record of finding root causes, not just closing tickets.
• Comfort with data; SQL is a big plus.
• Experience using AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT to speed up analysis or workflows.
• Clear written communication with technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Configure merchant setups: loyalty, rewards, app, online ordering for merchants.
• Connect partner integrations with POS, ordering, delivery partners; manage credentials.
• Investigate and resolve issues; provide bug reports with evidence.
• Monitor location health; identify and address quiet locations or failing integrations.
• Manage card network enrollment with Visa, Mastercard, Amex; troubleshoot transactions.
• Build and improve automations; create monitors and workflows for the team.
• Communicate updates clearly to merchants and teammates.
