A leading freelance marketplace seeks an experienced Shopify developer to transform an existing USA-based Shopify website into a South African version. The role involves duplicating products, updating descriptions and pricing, and ensuring brand consistency with the UK and US sites. Strong e-commerce and Shopify expertise is essential. Qualifications
- Proven experience developing and customizing Shopify websites, with a portfolio of similar localization projects.
- Proficiency in Shopify’s admin interface, Liquid templating, and relevant third-party apps.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining brand consistency.
Responsibilities
- Duplicate and migrate all products and content from the UK Shopify website to the new South African site.
- Update product descriptions, pricing, and currency to reflect the South African market.
- Test the new website for functionality and user experience across devices.

- Configure payment gateways, shipping options, and tax settings appropriate for South Africa.

- Provide documentation or a handover guide for ongoing site management.
- Proven experience developing and customizing Shopify websites, with a portfolio of similar localization projects.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, especially for international markets.
- Proficiency in Shopify’s admin interface, Liquid templating, and relevant third-party apps.
- Ability to adapt content and product data for a new regional audience, including currency and language adjustments.
