Job summary

Thanx is seeking a Merchant Operations Specialist to ensure merchants’ loyalty programs, apps, online ordering, and integrations function smoothly. You will own configurations, monitor health, and drive root-cause analysis to quickly resolve issues.

You will work with Support, Customer Success, Implementation, Product, and Engineering, owning meaningful work from your first months and building automations that scale.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical support or operations roles and diagnosing problems across multiple systems.
• Strong ability to analyze data and identify root causes to fix issues.
• SQL is a big plus for data investigation and monitoring.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT to speed up analysis and workflows.
• Clear written communication with technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Configure merchant setups: loyalty, rewards, apps, and online ordering for merchants with speed and accuracy.
• Connect partner integrations: POS, ordering, and delivery partners; manage credentials with partner teams.
• Investigate and resolve issues: take escalations, determine what is happening, and report bugs with evidence.
• Monitor location health and identify integrations or cards that stop working.
• Manage card network enrollment with Visa, Mastercard, and Amex and troubleshoot transactions.
• Build and improve automations: turn repetitive tasks into monitors and workflows.
• Communicate clearly: write actionable updates for merchants and teammates.
