Job summary

Thanx is seeking a Merchant Operations Engineer to diagnose issues, dig into data, and explain findings to non-technical merchants. You’ll work with AI-assisted tools and own core configuration and automation tasks from early on.

You will configure merchant setups, connect integrations with POS, ordering, and delivery partners, monitor location health, and automate repetitive work in our loyalty platform. Strong communication and data sense are valued.

Responsibilities

• Configure merchant setups: loyalty, rewards, app, and online ordering for new/existing merchants.
• Connect partner integrations: link merchants to POS, ordering, and delivery partners.
• Investigate and resolve issues: take escalations, determine root causes, report bugs with evidence.
• Monitor location health: catch quiet locations, broken integrations, and non-transacting cards.
• Manage card network enrollment: enroll locations with Visa, Mastercard, and Amex; troubleshoot transactions.
• Build and improve automations: create monitors, lookups, and workflows for the team.
• Communicate clearly: write actionable updates for merchants and teammates.
