Job summary

Thanx seeks a technically adept Merchant Operations professional to configure merchant setups, connect partner integrations, and investigate issues across loyalty, apps, and online ordering. You will monitor location health, enroll card networks, and build automations to remove repetitive work.

Qualifications

• Experience in a technical support, operations, implementation, or similar role where you diagnosed problems across multiple systems.
• Clear written communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfort with data; SQL is a big plus, and we’ll teach what you need if you have the aptitude.
• Experience using AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT to speed up analysis, troubleshooting, or workflows.

Responsibilities

• Configure merchant setups: Set up loyalty, rewards, app, and online ordering for new and existing merchants; maintain accuracy and speed.
• Connect partner integrations: Link merchants to POS, ordering, and delivery partners, handle credentials, collaborate with partner teams.
• Investigate and resolve issues: Take escalations, determine root causes, and report with clear evidence to Engineering.
• Monitor location health: Detect inactive locations, broken integrations, and non-transacting cards.
• Manage card network enrollment: Enroll locations with Visa, Mastercard, and Amex, troubleshoot transaction flows.
• Build and improve automations: Create monitors, lookups, and workflows for the team to use.
• Communicate clearly: Write actionable updates for merchants and teammates.
