Job summary

BD is hiring a Technical Support Specialist 2 to resolve complex, time-sensitive issues across Medstation systems, from server to station. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, cross-functional collaboration, and ongoing ES 1.1x expertise.

Responsibilities include incident handling, customer updates, and high-quality documentation in Salesforce, with a mix of remote and on-site work aligned to BD's policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of equivalent experience in CS/ET or related field.
• 2+ years Microsoft SQL experience with query writing.
• Experience with SSIS and SQL Reporting Services.
• Windows Server (2008+) and desktop admin (Win7+).
• Networking topology, terminology and commands familiarity.
• IIS and Web App Administration knowledge.
• Group Policies terminology and administration.
• VMWare terminology and administration.
• Application installation and troubleshooting proficiency.
• Ports, networking/OS awareness; XML basics.
• Ability to review application and OS logs (2+ years).

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex, time-sensitive, high-risk issues incl. escalations and downtime.
• Provide ES 1.1x upgrade/support for BD Medstation systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional upgrade teams and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain ES 1.1x knowledge to troubleshoot and support.
• Offer CSC support to internal peers during upgrades and implementations.
• Give customers progress updates and collect feedback to meet needs.
• Document cases in Salesforce with high data quality and clarity.
• Balance on-site collaboration with remote work; adhere to BD policies.
