Job summary

Understood Care is looking for compassionate, self-directed professionals to assist Medicare members with understanding their insurance and accessing needed resources. In this remote, part-time role, you’ll be a member-facing contact, helping coordinate care and navigate the healthcare system.

To qualify, candidates should have 3+ years in healthcare or related fields and knowledge of Medicare. This independent contractor position offers flexibility and is expected to provide around 10–20 hours per week at approximately $25 per hour.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of member-facing experience in healthcare, social services, or care coordination.
• Working knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system and Medicare.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a point of contact after a member's intake visit.
• Help members access care — finding providers and scheduling.
• Assist with navigation issues like referrals and provider communication.

Skills
