Job summary

MiraMace, Inc. is seeking a Care Advocate for a remote, non-clinical navigation role. After intake, you’ll support patients in understanding care plans, scheduling, insurance, and connecting to community resources, while coordinating with clinical teams.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position with flexible weekday hours. Ideal candidates are patient, organized, tech-savvy, and capable of managing a multi-patient caseload with strict documentation and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted LPN/LVN license in good standing.
• 2+ years of patient- or community-facing support experience.
• Working knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system and Medicare.
• Independent work style with strong documentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for patients after intake.
• Help patients understand and act on their care plan and schedule visits.
• Resolve navigation friction with portals, referrals, and forms.
• Connect patients to resources for food, housing, transportation.
• Coordinate with clinical team members while providing non-clinical support.
• Document every patient interaction accurately and on time.
• Maintain HIPAA and privacy compliance.
