CLF Consultants LLC is hiring entry-level, fully remote Medical Support Assistants to support the VA VISN 19 Office of Community Care. You work from home scheduling visits and coordinating community care while serving Veterans and families across VISN 19.

Onboarding includes VA system training, cybersecurity orientation, and HIPAA compliance. The role offers weekday scheduling, a stable federal program, and a path into federal healthcare administration.

Qualifications

• United States citizenship required.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• English proficiency; basic computer skills.
• Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute.
• Minimum 6 months of customer service experience.
• Ability to pass a federal background investigation (NACI, Low Risk).
• Quiet home workspace within 50 miles of a VISN 19 VA Medical Center.

Responsibilities

• Schedule Veteran appointments for primary care, specialty clinics, and community care as directed.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information to federal standards.
• Document interactions in CPRS and VistA; average at least 20 cases daily.
• Coordinate with Lead Scheduler and care teams; escalate issues per channels.
• Provide professional, empathetic customer service by phone and secure channels.
• Complete annual cybersecurity, Privacy Act, and HIPAA training; maintain confidentiality.
