Job summary

CLF Consultants LLC (DBA: CLFC Healthcare and Communications) is hiring entry-level, fully remote Medical Support Assistants to support the VA VISN 19 Office of Community Care. You will work from home, scheduling primary care visits, specialty clinic appointments, community care consults, and follow-up engagements for Veterans and families across VISN 19.

This entry-level federal healthcare role requires at least six months of customer service experience, basic computer skills, and a high school

Qualifications

• Requires US citizenship.
• At least 6 months of customer service experience.
• Typing speed of 50 words per minute.
• Ability to work remotely from within 50 miles of a VISN 19 VA Medical Center.
• Must pass a federal background investigation (NACI, Low Risk).

Responsibilities

• Schedule Veteran appointments for primary care, specialty clinics, and community care.
• Verify and update patient demographics, next of kin, emergency contact, and insurance information.
• Document interactions in CPRS and VistA.
• Coordinate with the Lead Scheduler and care teams; escalate issues.
• Provide professional, empathetic customer service to Veterans and VA staff by phone and secure channels.
• Complete cybersecurity, Privacy Act, and HIPAA training; maintain confidentiality.
