Job summary

Qualifications

• Four years of related work experience, two in the same job family at the next lower level, and a high school education.
• Alternate pathways include two years of related work experience with an Associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone calls, assess urgency, and direct callers to appropriate staff.
• Provide information on policies, forms, insurance, and services; assist with patient forms.
• Build provider master schedules and clinic calendars; modify for time off or emergencies.
• Schedule appointments, manage conflicts, and notify patients of changes.
• Verify patient information and insurance; initiate billing as needed.
• Coordinate tests, surgeries, and departmental meetings; generate reports from data.
