Vail Health Hospital in Colorado is seeking a PRN scheduling specialist to coordinate patient appointments with providers, locations, and payers. You will manage calls, obtain accurate demographics, and utilize the EHR system to schedule tests and procedures.

Ideal candidates bring 2 years of admin or medical office experience, familiarity with medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, and OSHA rules. The role supports flexible, as-needed scheduling and emphasizes patient-centered care.

Qualificações

• 2 years administration or similar experience preferred.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Schedules medical appointments through coordination of patients, providers, locations, payers, etc.
• Receives and initiates calls to and from patients, providers, outside provider offices, while following established scheduling procedures and protocols.
• Appropriately schedules appointments, tests and/or procedures, leveraging the electronic health record (EHR) scheduling software.
• Promptly answers incoming calls in a professional manner and scheduling of patient appointments.
• Obtains patient demographics with accuracy to include but not limited to patient address information, telephone number and insurance information from the patient.
• Manages electronic requests through drop box and patient portals to schedule appointments.
• Distributes faxes helps manage needed requests.
• Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
• Must be HIPAA compliant
