Job summary

Carolinas Medical Center is seeking an Educator/Trainer to support PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams in a fully remote, Monday-Friday schedule with a 40-hour work week and flexible hours.

The successful candidate will bring recent production coding experience across specialty areas, deliver education to coders and clinicians, and maintain engaging learning programs. AHIMA/AAPC certifications are required, with state registration as applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of production medical coding experience.
• Experience with physician revenue cycle processes.
• AHIMA or AAPC coding certifications required.
• Ability to develop and deliver coding education and training.

Responsibilities

• Present coding and documentation education to coders and clinicians, in-person or virtually.
• Develop and maintain educational programs and resources.
• Schedule and manage education sessions across the organization.
• Update training materials to reflect current coding guidelines.
