Advocate Health is seeking a Coding Education & Enablement specialist to lead physician coding education across the Revenue Cycle. You will deliver in-person and virtual sessions, develop curricula, and coordinate with Coding Leadership and IT to improve documentation.

The role requires AHIMA/AAPC certifications, advanced coding experience, and strong adult-learning skills. Some travel may be required; remote-work options are limited to approved states.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Advanced knowledge of adult learning concepts and ability to plan and coordinate training.
• Strong ability to deliver in-person and virtual training to coders and clinicians.

Responsabilités

• Collaborates with Coding Leadership and IT leadership to develop and deliver education programs.
• Delivers coding and documentation education in person and virtually for initial and continuing training.
• Identifies educational needs and develops refresher sessions for coders.
• Maintains education schedules and applies adult learning principles in training.
• Develops web-based coding education programs and tracks progress.
• Creates course content and conducts train-the-trainer sessions for instructors.
