• Certified Professional Coding Certification or the equivalent is required.
• Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, education, or related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of coding guidelines, prospective payment systems, CMS rules, and OIG work plans is required.

Responsibilities

• Audit medical records to ensure documentation supports the level of service.
• Develop and implement educational programs and documentation improvement strategies.
• Orientation and auditing of newly on-boarded providers and programs; maintain high standards and quality control.
