Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Education & Enablement professional to support PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams. The role focuses on developing and delivering coding training, covering a broad range of specialty areas, with remote delivery options and a flexible schedule.

The position requires recent production coding and/or coding integrity experience, plus AHIMA or AAPC certifications. Expect collaboration with coding leadership and IT to advance education programs.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
• Expert knowledge in adult learning concepts and capable of planning, coordinating, facilitating coding educational programs.
• Highly proficient at using Microsoft Office and similar products for education delivery.

Responsibilities

• Presents coding and documentation education for initial training and continuing education for coders and clinicians.
• Develops coding educational presentations, tools and documents.
• Identifies coding educational needs and reports trends to ensure opportunities are met.
• Delivers one-on-one, follow-up and refresher training sessions.
• Maintains education schedules and schedules across platforms (Learning Connection, ATMS, Skype/Teams).
• Creates and maintains web-based coding education programs and assigns lessons to coders.
