Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an Educator/Trainer to lead coding education for PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams. The role involves presenting in-person and virtual trainings, developing educational content, and coordinating ongoing education initiatives across departments.

Ideal candidates have recent production coding and specialty coding experience, AHIMA or AAPC certifications, and a flexible, fully remote schedule. This is a full-time remote position with potential state flexibility.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and facilitate coding education programs.

Responsibilities

• Presents coding education to coders and clinicians for initial training and continuing education.
• Develops coding education presentations, tools and documents.
• Identifies training needs and expands education opportunities with leadership.
• Maintains education schedules and uses LMS or scheduling tools.
• Creates web-based coding education programs and evaluates effectiveness.
