Job summary

Advocate Health in the United States is seeking a dedicated Educator/Trainer to support PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams. This full-time, remote role focuses on presenting coding and documentation education for initial training and ongoing professional development.

You will collaborate with coding leadership and IT, develop web-based training, update curricula, and deliver train-the-trainer sessions. Candidates should have recent production coding experience and AHIMA or AAPC certifications.

Qualifications

• Advanced training in Medical Coding.
• 5 years of medical coding experience incl. physician revenue cycle.
• Experience with coding education program development and delivery.
• Ability to teach adult learners and manage multiple sessions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Coding Leadership, IT leadership, Org development, Revenue Cycle leadership, Compliance leadership.
• Present coding and documentation education for initial training and ongoing education for coders and clinicians.
• Identify coder educational needs and develop solutions with leadership teams.
• Stay current with adult learning concepts and manage education schedules.
• Develop and maintain web-based coding education programs and track progress.
• Create training materials with clear objectives and standards and deliver train-the-trainer sessions.
• Provide comprehensive trainer updates as needed.
