Job summary

TEK Systems is seeking a fully remote Medical Coder in the United States for a 1-2 year contract. You will review emergency department records to assign accurate ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes, determine E/M levels per ED guidelines, and ensure proper charge capture across departments.

Must have at least 2 years of medical coding experience, preferably with inpatient/outpatient/profee, and an active CPC certification. Live in the US and be able to work remotely nationwide.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of Medical Coding experience (Inpatient, outpatient, or Profee).
• Active CPC Certification required.
• Live in the United States and able to work remotely within the US.

Responsibilities

• Review emergency department records to assign ICD-10-CM diagnoses and CPT/HCPCS codes.
• Determine E/M levels per ED guidelines and ACEP tool.
• Ensure complete code assignment and charge capture across departments.
