Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• AHIMA or AAPC credential (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-H) required.
• 1+ years of ED coding experience.
• 1+ years of ICD-10 experience.
• Familiarity with NCCI/MUE basics and facility modifiers.

Responsibilities

• Codes Emergency Department services.
• Confirms documentation supports code selection and resolves APC impacts.
• Applies ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes and supports charge capture reconciliation.
• Meets established quality and productivity standards in a production environment.
• Adheres to UnitedHealth Group Telecommuter Policy.
