Job summary

Raintree Systems, Inc. is seeking a Payment Reconciliation Specialist to ensure the accurate posting and reconciliation of deposits across daily, weekly, and monthly cycles. This remote U.S.

position is designated for select states, including MA, and focuses on timeliness, quality, and accuracy in payment processing. You will maintain logs, investigate discrepancies, assist clients, and collaborate with leads to resolve posting issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of medical insurance posting experience.
• Knowledge of payer contracts and government reimbursement rules.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications.
• Skilled in using computer applications for payment posting with an understanding of A/R follow up.
• Knowledge of insurance and reimbursement policies.
• Experience with medical billing software (Raintree Systems experience a plus).
• Experience in basic accounting and math.
• Proactive with AI fluency to identify efficiency gains.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain all logs and spreadsheets used for reconciliation.
• Investigate, research, and resolve outstanding deposits; contact clients/payors as needed.
• Identify and research posting errors and follow ups.
• Participate in month end closing.
• Retrieve and post remittances from payor websites.
• Research unidentified payments and recoupment to determine resolution.
• Identify patterns indicating issues and notify leads.
• Assist clients by answering inquiries and providing information.
• Reconcile daily cash deposits to the billing system and bank.
• Complete special projects and assignments as needed.
