Job summary

Ogletree Deakins Immigration Practice Group is seeking a Matter Information Analyst to support our billing operations by ensuring clients and matters are set up accurately and timely. You will collaborate with Attorneys, Practice Assistants, Billing Team and clients to optimize revenue and client satisfaction.

This role may be remote, but you must reside in a state where we have a physical office. The position emphasizes data integrity, process improvements, and efficient matter setup across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1+ years in legal billing or matter setup; 3+ years preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel (formulas, pivot tables, filters).
• Working knowledge of Aderant and billing modules.
• Experience with electronic billing systems (Billblast, Legal Tracker, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Matter Set Up: set up clients and matters for billing per guidelines.
• Data Change Management: process changes to matters after setup.
• Matters in Pending Status Management: follow up and resubmit to avoid WIP.
• Control Reports: analyze and correct items on reports.
• Issue Resolution: research and resolve escalated items.
• Team Collaboration: back up for team members.
• Effective Communication: respond to inquiries promptly.
• Policy & Procedure Compliance: ensure adherence.
