Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Mainframe Systems Programmer specializing in CICS TS and WAS to provide premium support to our mainframe clients. You will handle installations, testing, and maintenance of z/OS system software, work on performance tuning, and assist with migration and disaster recovery tasks.

The role requires 5+ years on zSeries, strong knowledge of CICS TS, SMP/e, and monitoring tools; you will deliver 24/7 support across time zones and collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years on the zSeries mainframe with hands-on experience related to CICS TS / WAS and OEM product support.
• Deep knowledge of CICS TS capabilities, installation and tailoring of CICS TS and related OEM products.
• Experience with IBM SMP/E.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of CICS TS concepts and configuration.
• Experience monitoring performance of CICS TS regions.
• Self-motivated; able to work independently.
• Able to multi-task and work under deadlines and pressure.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Team player who can also work independently.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill CSOs for mainframe z/OS customers in relation to CICS TS and OEM software.
• Provide primary support for problems related to CICS TS / WAS.
• Provide 24x7x365 support across multiple time zones.
• Install OEM software products according to best practices and Ensono standards.
• Assist in preparing partitions for annual OS upgrades via proactive checklists.
• Support customer migrations for CICS TS and OEM products.
• Assist migration of newly acquired customers addressing technical hurdles.
• Collaborate with Disaster Recovery Services on DR plans.
• Adhere to schedules to manage resources and timely implementations.
• Follow ITSM change control procedures and apply fixes.
• Upgrade/maintain CICS TS products with new options.
