Job summary

Amentum is seeking a seasoned M365 & Identity Engineer Lead to design, deploy, and optimize Microsoft 365 and identity solutions. You will manage Entra ID, MFA, RBAC, and SSO, with hybrid identity and cross-cloud responsibilities in a remote US-based role.

Responsibilities include governance, security policy implementation, and collaboration with security and application teams. Amentum values strong scripting, automation, and leadership of IT professionals on projects.

Qualifications

• 8+ years hands-on M365 administration and engineering.
• Experience with IAM in enterprise environments; Okta preferred.
• Experience with Active Directory, Entra ID, External Identities, Conditional Access, RBAC, MFA.
• Hybrid identity support (On-Prem Exchange, Entra ID Connect, federation, sync).
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and optimize M365 services across Exchange Online, Purview, OneDrive, Teams.
• Manage Entra ID and RBAC, MFA, and SSO integrations.
• Support Okta and other identity platforms.
• Maintain email services including Exchange and Proofpoint.
• Develop governance, security policies, and compliance configurations.
• Troubleshoot complex issues in M365 and hybrid environments.
• Automate with PowerShell to improve operations.
• Monitor performance and security posture.
• Collaborate with security, data center, and application teams.
• Provide guidance to junior staff.
