Job summary

Amentum is seeking a M365 & Identity Engineer, Lead to design, deploy, and optimize Microsoft 365 and identity solutions in a remote US environment. You will manage Entra ID, Exchange Online, and related services, while enforcing governance and security policies across hybrid identity landscapes.

Prospective candidates should bring hands-on experience with PowerShell automation, Okta and Graph API, and a strong ability to lead teams on small projects, collaborating with security and data center

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on M365 administration and engineering.
• Experience with Identity & Access Management in enterprise environments (Okta preferred).
• Experience with Active Directory, Entra ID, External Identities (B2B), Conditional Access, RBAC, MFA, and identity lifecycle management.
• Experience supporting hybrid identity (On-Prem Exchange, Entra ID Connect, federation, sync).
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and optimize M365 services (Exchange Online, Purview, OneDrive, Teams).
• Manage Entra ID identity services including Conditional Access, MFA, SSO integrations, and lifecycle processes.
• Lead IAM tooling and workflows, including provisioning and privileged access management.
• Implement automation using PowerShell or scripting to improve operations.
• Monitor performance and security posture across M365 and identity environments.
• Collaborate with security, data center, and application teams on cross-functional initiatives.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and lead small IT projects.
