Job summary

Amentum is seeking a M365 & Identity Engineer, Lead to design, deploy, and operate Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and IAM across hybrid environments. The role emphasizes security governance, automation, and cross‑functional collaboration for enterprise workloads.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in M365 engineering, strong scripting with PowerShell, and experience with Exchange Online, Purview, Okta, and Active Directory. This is a US remote position requiring US citizenship.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on M365 administration and engineering experience.
• Experience in Identity & Access Management in enterprise environments; Okta preferred.
• Experience with Active Directory, Entra ID, External Identities (B2B), Conditional Access, RBAC, MFA, and identity lifecycle management.
• Experience supporting hybrid identity (On-Prem Exchange, Entra ID Connect, federation, sync).
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain M365 services including Exchange Online, Purview, OneDrive, Teams; provide secondary support for SharePoint Online, Power BI, Power Platform.
• Manage Entra ID identity services including Conditional Access, External Identities (B2B), MFA, SSO integrations, and identity lifecycle processes.
• Manage Okta and other identity platforms; provide governance and security configurations.
• Develop automation using PowerShell or other scripting tools to improve operational efficiency.
• Monitor system performance, security posture, and capacity; ensure high availability.
• Lead teams of IT professionals on small projects; mentor junior staff.
