Job summary

Amentum is seeking a M365 & Identity Engineer, Lead, to design, deploy, and optimize Microsoft 365 and Identity across hybrid environments. You will manage Entra ID, Okta, and governance, while ensuring secure, scalable collaboration for the US remote setup.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in M365 administration, Identity & Access Management, and strong scripting capabilities. US citizenship required with leadership responsibilities and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

8+ years hands-on M365 administration and engineering.
Experience in Identity & Access Management in enterprise environments (Okta preferred).
US Citizenship required and ability to work in a US remote setup.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain M365 services (Exchange Online, Purview, OneDrive, Teams).
Manage Entra ID identity services: CA, External Identities, MFA, SSO, RBAC, lifecycle.
Support Email platforms (Exchange on-premises and Online, Proofpoint).
Develop and enforce M365 governance, security policies, and compliance configurations.
Troubleshoot across M365 ecosystem, identity platform, and hybrid environments.
Automate operations using PowerShell or other scripting tools.
Monitor performance, security posture, and capacity for high availability.
Lead IT teams on small projects and mentor junior staff.
