Job summary

Coinbase is seeking an M&A and Accounting Policy Manager to serve as the primary accounting resource across the full lifecycle of M&A and investment transactions. You will report to the Director of Reporting and Technical Accounting Policy and help evolve Coinbase's US GAAP policies with Legal, Corporate Development, Tax, and Controllership.

You will own end-to-end purchase accounting for acquisitions, shape policy memos, prepare 10-Q/10-K footnotes, and ensure SOX controls are effective.

Qualifications

• CPA required and US GAAP expertise
• 9+ years in accounting with Big 4 + industry
• experience leading financial due diligence in live M&A deals
• ability to draft technical memos and disclosures clearly

Responsibilities

• Lead financial due diligence on target companies and assess deal risks
• Own end-to-end purchase accounting under ASC 805 for acquisitions
• Guide accounting treatment for strategic investments under ASC 321/323/810
• Develop accounting policies for new products and complex transactions
