Job summary

Coinbase is seeking an M&A and Accounting Policy Manager on the Accounting team to lead due diligence, purchase accounting, and policy development across new products and investments.

Reporting to the Director of Reporting and Technical Accounting Policy, you will partner with Legal, Tax, Controllership and Corporate Development to ensure US GAAP compliance and robust disclosures for 10-Q/10-K, while applying AI responsibly to improve workflows.

Qualifications

• CPA required and active.
• Breadth of US GAAP knowledge including ASC 805/ASC 321/ASC 810.
• Experience leading financial due diligence and deal-related workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial due diligence on target companies and assess accounting exposures.
• Own end-to-end purchase accounting for acquisitions under ASC 805.
• Drive accounting treatment for investments under ASC 321/ASC 323/ASC 810.
• Draft technical accounting memos and disclosures for 10-Q/10-K and ensure SOX controls.
