Job summary

Genworth is seeking a Long Term Care Actuary to join the Controllership Oversight team. The role focuses on governance of LTC models, data, and controls, with emphasis on valuation, projections, and inforce rate actions.

Collaboration with operations and IT will be essential to ensure data integrity and policy compliance. Ideal candidates hold an FSA/ASA designation with 5+ years of LTC actuarial experience, and can manage multiple priorities toward deadlines.

Qualifications

• BS/BA Degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, business/finance, and/or related major.
• FSA designation or ASA with commensurate experience.
• 5+ years of relevant actuarial experience, preferably with LTC insurance.
• Ability to meet project deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of actuarial processes: valuation, projections, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Review existing controls for key high-risk processes and make improvement recommendations.
• Collaborate with Operations and IT on administration system and data issues and controls.
• Provide governance peer review support for the development and enhancement of LTC actuarial models and processes.
• Primary focus on valuation and inforce rate action teams; oversight to projections, experience, and data analytics.
• Support the model governance team to complete model peer reviews and provide other analysis as needed.
