Job summary

Genworth is seeking a Long Term Care Actuary to join the Controllership Oversight team, focusing on governance of LTC models, data, and controls. The role emphasizes guidance on controls to ensure compliance with standards and processes across valuation, projections, and experience.

The position supports valuation and inforce rate action, with potential expansion to projections and analytics, collaborating with cross-functional teams while meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality analyses.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, business/finance or related major.
• Fellow of Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation or Associate (ASA) with commensurate experience.
• Approximately 5+ years of actuarial experience, preferably with LTC insurance.
• Ability to meet project deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of actuarial processes: valuation, projections, and experience.
• Results oriented, accountable for performance, and ownership of projects.

Responsibilities

• Review existing controls for key high-risk processes and make improvement recommendations.
• Collaborate with Operations and IT on administration system and data issues and controls.
• Provide governance peer review support for the development and enhancement of LTC actuarial models and processes.
• Support the model governance team to complete model peer reviews and provide other analysis as needed.
