Job summary

Genworth is seeking a Long Term Care Actuary to join the Controllership Oversight team. You will govern LTC models and processes, ensure controls align with company and actuarial standards, and support valuation, projections, and experience analysis.

Responsibilities include reviewing high-risk controls, collaborating with IT and Operations on data issues, and providing governance peer reviews for model development and enhancements. A strong actuarial background is essential.

Qualifications

• BS/BA Degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, business/finance, and/or related major.
• Fellows of Society of Actuaries (FSA) or Associate (ASA) with commensurate experience.
• 5+ years of actuarial experience, preferably with LTC insurance.
• Ability to meet project deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of actuarial processes: valuation, projections, and experience.
• Results oriented, accountable for performance, and willingness to take ownership of projects.

Responsibilities

• Review existing controls for key high-risk processes and make improvement recommendations.
• Collaborate with Operations and IT on administration system and data issues and controls.
• Provide governance peer review support for the development and enhancement of LTC actuarial models and processes.
