Job summary

Genworth is seeking a Long Term Care Actuary to join Controllership Oversight in a role focused on governance of LTC models and controls. You will become the expert on LTC model, data, and processes, advising on the appropriateness and design of controls to ensure compliance with company, industry, and actuarial standards.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science or related field.
• FSA designation or ASA with commensurate experience.
• 5+ years actuarial experience, preferably LTC.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the LTC control environment and ensure consistent design and execution across teams.
• Consult on controls for new or enhanced processes.
• Review existing controls for high-risk processes and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with Operations and IT on systems and data issues and controls.
• Develop clear model and process documentation to increase transparency and accessibility.
• Provide governance peer review support for LTC actuarial models and processes.
• Expand governance oversight to include emerging teams and products.
• Assist with model change peer reviews and guide governance processes.
