Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking a Loss Draft Specialist to work remotely from home. You will handle loss draft and property damage requirements, process checks and documents, and review inspections to determine draw eligibility.

The role emphasizes accuracy, regulatory compliance, and strong customer service. Qualified candidates have at least 2 years in insurance or related fields, solid claims knowledge, and excellent organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years’ experience in insurance, banking, finance, mortgage servicing or related field.
• Strong knowledge of claims handling and claims practices.
• General knowledge of insurance theory and practices, contracts.
• Familiarity with property estimating systems and claims documentation procedures.
• Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform loss draft and property damage requirements including processing checks, documents, inspections, and reviewing queues.
• Review adjuster worksheets for depreciation and costs of repairs; act when necessary.
• Review and evaluate claim packages and order/review inspection reports for draw eligibility.
• Reduce risk by classifying the claim.
• Comply with policies, statutes, regulations, and other legal requirements governing claims handling.
• Protect client interests by initiating fraud processes when necessary.
• Monitor quality of services by appraisers, contractors, inspectors, and loss draft personnel; report to management.
• Respond to customer requests promptly and professionally.
• Provide back-up to meet client requirements and SLAs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
