Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years’ experience in insurance, banking, finance, mortgage servicing or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of claims handling and claims practices.
• General knowledge of insurance theory and practices, insurance contracts and their application.
• Familiarity with property estimating systems and claims documentation procedures.
• Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions.
• Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology.

Responsibilities

• Perform loss draft and property damage requirements including processing checks, documents, inspections, and reviewing exceptions.
• Review adjuster worksheets for depreciation and costs; take appropriate action.
• Evaluate claim packages and inspection reports to determine draw eligibility.
• Assess claim classification to reduce risk or loss.
• Comply with policies, regulations, and legal requirements governing claims handling.
• Initiate fraud processes when necessary to protect client interests.
• Monitor quality of services by appraisers, contractors, inspectors, and staff; advise manager.
• Work in client and company applications; respond to customer requests promptly.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent
