Carrington Mortgage Services is hiring a Loss Draft Specialist to work remotely from home in the United States. The role handles loss draft and property damage requirements, processes checks and documents, orders inspections, and reviews exceptions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years’ experience in insurance, banking, finance, mortgage servicing or related field.
• Strong knowledge of claims handling and claims practices.
• General knowledge of insurance theory and contracts, and their application.
• Familiarity with property estimating systems and claims documentation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform loss draft and property damage requirements including processing checks, documents, inspections, loss drafts queue, and evaluating exceptions.
• Review adjuster worksheets for depreciation, validate scope/costs, and take action as needed.
• Order/review inspection reports to determine draw eligibility for the claim.
• Assess classification of the claim to reduce risk or loss.
• Comply with company policies, statutes, regulations and claims handling laws.
• Initiate fraud processes when necessary to protect clients.
• Monitor quality of services by appraisers, contractors, inspectors, and loss-draft personnel; recommend improvements.
• Work efficiently in client and company proprietary applications.
• Respond to customer requests, inquiries, and complaints promptly.
• Provide backup to meet client requirements and SLAs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
