Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking a Loss Draft Specialist to work remotely from home. You will process loss drafts, documents, inspections, and manage the loss drafts queue while ensuring compliance with policies and laws.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years' experience in insurance, banking, finance, mortgage servicing, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of claims handling and practices.
• General knowledge of insurance theory and contracts.
• Familiarity with property estimating systems and claims documentation.
• Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to understand and apply written instructions and information.

Responsibilities

• Perform loss draft and property damage requirements including processing checks and documents, reviewing inspections, and managing the loss drafts queue.
• Review adjuster worksheets for depreciation and validate scope/costs of repairs.
• Review and evaluate claim packages and order/review inspection reports for draw eligibility.
• Assess risk by classifying the claim.
• Comply with company policies, statutes, regulations governing claims handling.
• Initiate fraud processes to protect client interests when necessary.
• Monitor quality of services from appraisers, contractors, inspectors, and staff; make recommendations to management.
• Work efficiently in client and company proprietary applications.
• Respond to written and verbal customer requests and inquiries promptly.
• Provide assistance to meet client requirements and SLAs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
