Prudential Financial is seeking a seasoned Disability Claims Specialist to serve as a technical expert for Long-Term Disability. You will guide claim professionals, coach teams, and provide actionable feedback to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role focuses on policy interpretation, medical/vocational considerations, and timely decision-making, while maintaining overall claim block health and process improvements. A remote-capable position with strong collaboration is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of Long-Term Disability claim management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Long-Term Disability policy provisions, medical and vocational considerations.
• Proven ability to analyze complex or high-risk claim scenarios and recommend sound strategies.
• Experience coaching claim professionals and giving actionable feedback.
• Ability to interpret data, indicators, and trends to improve claim quality and block health.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Long Term Disability technical expert for the Team Lead and claim professionals.
• Provide technical guidance on policy interpretation, medical and vocational considerations, benefit eligibility, and next steps.
• Coach claim professionals through complex claim scenarios and strengthen critical thinking.
• Provide timely, actionable feedback to build technical capability and improve execution.
• Analyze claim activity to identify trends, risks, and coaching opportunities.
• Monitor inventory and performance indicators to maintain claim block health.
• Support development and delivery of technical training and knowledge sharing.
• Consult on high-risk or complex claims with policy-aligned approaches.
• Support additional priorities based on evolving team and business needs.
