Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Category Manager, Logistics Services within the Supply Chain Business Unit. This is a virtual position and can be located anywhere in the United States.

Responsibilities include developing category strategies, leading sourcing and negotiations, and improving cost, service, and risk across transportation, fleet, and related logistics services. Bachelor's degree in Supply Management and 7+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Management or related field or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
• Minimum 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
• Experience managing third-party spend within a large organization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and execute category strategies for assigned logistics services.
• Lead complex sourcing initiatives from strategy through market assessment and contracting.
• Develop strategies and lead negotiations for contracts and pricing.
• Analyze procurement spend and identify opportunities to improve total cost, service, efficiency, and risk.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers and establish performance expectations.
