Job summary

The Wood Agency Life is seeking a remote, 1099 independent-contractor life insurance sales professional to connect with families who requested coverage information. You will guide conversations from initial contact through completed applications, using provided leads and mentorship from the agency owners.

Ideal candidates have experience selling by phone, are comfortable with long, meaningful conversations about coverage, and are committed to ongoing follow-up.

Qualifications

• Experience selling by phone or inside sales or call center.
• Comfortable with long conversations about serious topics.
• Willingness to consistently follow up without prompting.
• Aim to obtain/state life insurance license before first sale.

Responsibilities

• Make first contact with people who asked about coverage and schedule longer conversations.
• Open with questions instead of a pitch; let families talk.
• Present options by phone or video and complete the application in the same appointment.
• Keep several open cases moving and track them in the CRM.
• Log every call and follow-up task as it happens.
• Learn from team call reviews to improve approach over time.
