Job summary

Erie Insurance Group is seeking a Casualty Claims professional in the Zones Department. This remote, work-from-home role serves candidates located near the Raleigh area, with standard hours 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET.

You will investigate and adjudicate liability and property claims, maintain reserves, communicate with claimants and insureds, and coordinate with specialists to resolve coverage issues. A high school diploma and claims experience are required; a college degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with two years related claims handling or customer service experience.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred.
• Intro to Insurance (INTRO) and Introduction to Claims (AIC 30) preferred or licenses as required.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and adjudicates liability and property claims within designated authority.
• Verifies coverage, establishes reserves, communicates with involved parties, and drafts/records documents.
• Learns relevant state laws and maintains knowledge of motor vehicle and no fault/FPB regulations.
• Supports property claims during busy periods and collaborates with other departments.
