Erie Insurance Group is seeking a Casualty Claims professional to handle liability and property claims with close supervision. The role involves evaluating coverage, maintaining reserves, and communicating with policyholders and sources involved in the claim.

You will learn state-specific liability laws, respond to arbitration applications, and participate in ongoing training to stay current with policy changes. Regular attendance is essential, with potential onsite presence as needed.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED with two years of related claims handling or customer service experience, or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Investigates and adjudicates claims within designated authority, ensuring compliance with state laws and ERIE procedures.
• Verifies coverage, establishes reserves, documents files and communicates with involved parties.
• Negotiates claims, identifies subrogation opportunities and processes payments according to approved methods.
• Responds to inquiries from Policyholders, Agents, carriers, claimants and experts.
• Continuously updates knowledge of state liability laws and motor vehicle codes.
