Job summary

Erie Insurance is seeking an experienced Home and Auto liability claims professional for a remote, work-from-home role based in Virginia, preferably near Richmond. The job involves handling complex liability claims, coverage evaluation, injury assessment, and negotiation to resolution while guiding less experienced staff.

You will contribute to consistent claim practices, train others, and may travel for training. A background in liability coverages, negotiation, and documentation is essential.

Qualifications

• Five years of claims related experience or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of liability coverages, laws, injury evaluation.
• Travel for training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations, evaluate coverage and liability.
• Handle claims involving complex liability, damages or coverages.
• Negotiate with all parties within designated authority.
• Document the file and submit reports.
• Identify subrogation opportunities and take appropriate action.
• Complete required training.
• Provide support for property claims during heavy volume.
• Train and mentor others.
• Travel for training may be required.
