Job summary

Erie Insurance Group is seeking a Property Damage Claims professional for a remote work position in North Carolina. You will handle property claims within authority, service the assigned territory, and may participate in catastrophe duties.

This role offers a national salary range of $56,367.00 to $90,040.00 per year, with the potential for an annual bonus. A high school diploma or GED with claims experience, or a bachelor’s degree, and residence in the territory are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and two years of claims handling experience, or equivalent; or a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Incumbent must live in the territory assigned; catastrophe duty travel possible.
• Willingness to pursue and complete Technical Learning Center Training; required licenses may be pursued.

Responsibilities

• Contacts Policyholders regarding property claims within level of authority; conducts investigations, interviews insureds and witnesses, inspects damage and prepares estimates.
• Handles property claims within designated authority; maintains reserves; determines payments and issues checks.
• Documents claim files and submits final reports for closure; identifies subrogation situations; interacts with Agents and district sales managers.
• May handle litigated claims or coordinate litigation; develops knowledge of estimating practices for property claims.
• Regular attendance and domicile in territory; may require travel for catastrophe duty.
